Please remember the Pony Club rules do not allow any member to be awarded certificates for tests at C level or above without having passed the R&RS test. Candidates must be 12 years old before the test date, and members must complete a minimum of 10 hours training

The tests are intended to assess riding and horse and pony care in a structured way. There are a number of Tests ranging in difficulty from E, which is the easiest to the A Riding, the most difficult. The tests must be attempted in succession. Test training will take place throughout the year.

D and D+ Test - Clare will be doing stable management and riding training for these tests as follows:

Friday 23rd July at 10am - pre test rally with Clare followed by the test at 11.30am

Mon 2nd August at 10am - pre test rally with Clare followed by the test at 11.30am

C Test - if you are interested in training for your C test, please contact Maggie. Training will then be organised when she has sufficient applicants

C+ Test - training dates are as follows:

Sat 8th May at 4pm

Sat 29th May at 4pm

Sat 26th June at 4pm

Sat 24th July at 4pm

These stable management sessions will be with Jane Stickley, held at Eastwood Stud Farm. However, please book your place with Maggie on 01730 825804 or email mockettfamily@btinternet.com. The cost of the 3 sessions is £22.50, or 4 sessions £30, payable in advance to Maggie.

B Test – if you have passed your C+ test and wish to train for this next test, please contact Lucy Sanders on 01730 812017 or michael.sanders1@btinternet.com.

Dress for Stable Management

Pony Club Sweatshirts , Cowdray hoodies or Cowdray polo shirts, johds and suitable footwear, johdpur boots or muckers are acceptable. No trainers. Jewellery shouldn’t be worn at any time.

RESULTS

WELL DONE to Rosemary Robinson, Fiona Clinch and Lewis Adams for passing their Lunging Test on Saturday (24th April 2010).

Congratulations to , Georgie Brash, Imogen Krens, Christi Radkiewicz, Wilfred Ross, Rachel Scanlan, Edwina Robinson and Ellie Thorman for passing their C Test.

They all got on really well and worked hard with Jane Stickley whose lessons are always fun and packed with all the information that they needed to do really well in the test. Lessons took place at Eastwood Stud and they are now equipped with all the basic knowledge which they will build on to carry them on through their Pony Club tests. Jane just has a way of making everything really easy to remember - informal but memorable!

B TEST SUCCESS

We had 100 per cent success rate for those taking B Test in October 2009

Annie Forsyth passed Full B.

Lottie Gravely passed Horse & Pony Care which means she now has Full B as she passed her Riding in the summer.

Fiona Clinch passed Riding which means she also now holds Full B as she did Care in the summer.

Rosie Robinson passed Horse & Pony Care.

Congratulations to the girls who have worked very hard and many thanks to Elaine Wilson (Riding) and Jane Stickley (Horse & Pony Care).
