Cowdray PC held the Pre Area Dressage Show at our PC Field on 11th July. Despite the extremely hot weather and rather hard ground all went very well and enormous thanks to Rachael Knight and Hazel Lewis with their team of helpers, judges, writers, tack checkers and stewards for making it such an enjoyable day and for having the scores out so quickly and efficiently. Cowdray did very well with the Intermediates being the top team with all four members from the same branch, coming 2nd overall. Our other Intermediate team was 5th and there were some good tests shown across the board. Well done to Olly, Katie, Maddy, Eleanor, Adele & Fiona.
In the Novices the Cowdray team of Beverley, Daisy, Kelly & Flora was 3rd with Beverley on her second ride joining a combined team which came 5th. Flora was in her first competiton with her new horse, having only got Patsy a few days before, so particularly well done to her and they look like making a very good combination.
Area Dressage comes up soon on 29th July so read your judge's sheet well and try to improve on a few marks if you can.
A big thank you also to Team Trainer Sally Fitzmaurice who gave up her day to watch, help and encourage the Cowdray competitors.
